Like others here have said, the control arms will break before grade 10 (or even grade 9) bolts and nuts. I’m not scared. I won’t be jumping railroad tracks anyway. @Doug118 had 40k miles on his at the time of his post regarding this setup.View attachment 452997
Mine is flipped as well. Without the spacers it gave me close to a 4" drop.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying I wouldn't go that route if I were lowering, just wouldn't be the best for my current situation.
...the king coilovers are too tall somehow, I almost mounted them under like to to fix it.
I'll probably have them get me shorter and stiffer springs eventually.

Could you link me those 1/2 spacers? I dont wanna go crazy lift but I wanna get rid of the front squat on my Yukon. I think the Rough Country ones are to thick and would force me to get the back raised. I really just want to raise the front a little bit.
With our suspension geometry, any thickness you add to the strut assembly, will double at the wheel.
Half inch spacer gives you 1 in lift
Back when I had mine leveled, I ran a 1 inch spacer to bring the front end up two inches and it sat perfect

If i wanted a 4" drop in front. would this work with drop struts, and NOT need 2" drop spindles? Or would i need the spindles to keep alignment within spec?
From what I’ve read flipping them to under the control arms gives you about 1 1/2” drop with no spacers added. I’m going to experiment. The 1/2” spacers I ordered should make it 2 “drop. They’re .39 thick.Supposedly every inch of spacer, either on top when used to lift or under if the struts are flipped, result in twice the thickness of the spacer. I’ve never heard of anybody trying to get a 4” drop without using drop spindles or drop struts.

You are right I forgot I installed 2" drop spindles LOL.

Interesting. I'll have to do some measuring when I get home. I just want to level without squatting when I hook my popup up with maybe a slight rack with out it. If that makes sense..IMO The factory rake is a bit extreme.
