2012 - was a slow year for my Escahoe, but I did do: Tires, Reverse Camera, Waterpump, Heater hoses, A/C Compressor, and Red LED Lights through the whole interior.

The begining of 2013 has started rough, with my Timing Chain, slipping time so I'm not up and running yet but should have it on the road tomorrow. However I do plan on finally replacing my front differential (went out, so I just pulled it off the truck), and getting some XD Misfit wheels, and new tires, and whatever else comes up.

2012 was kinda ******. Got my Hoe broken into and $1600 worth of stereo stolen, burned out my tranny, and AC evaporator took a shit on me, also the 4x4 actuator went out. 2013 has been pretty good fixing all of those though!! Hopefully getting some new shoes for it soon

New wheels and tires.

Passed smog with a catalytic converter that's been rattling for over a year.

Bolted on a whipple supercharger.

Got in an accident, fought with insurance, avoided salvaged title. Now it's getting fixed, but with different lights and a painted diesel bumper for fog lights.

my 1999 tahoe in short

Well I bought my basically stock 1999 tahoe back in December 2011 from a friend of the family for $5000 with $97k on it and a lot of work done to it from the previous owner mechanically. I cleaned it up and painted the stock wheels and here is how she sat Jan 2012

I did some work over the spring/summer

- New ac lines, compressor, dryer, orifice tube and refridgerant
- New front calipers, pads, new rear drums, shoes and springs, bled all brakes (they still sucked)
- New plugs, wires, cap rotor
- New radiator
- New 4wd pushbutton
- New fuel pump and locking ring
- New oxygen sensors
- New Magnaflow catalytics converters
- New knock sensor
- New Thermostat
- New belt and tensioner
- New battery
- New Starter
- New work truck grill with tinted headlights and turn signals
- Used rock guard
- New windshield
- Used 72 watt each LED offroad lights ($125 bucks a steal)
- Used Outlaw II 15" wheels with 33" BFG ATs 12.5 ($300 bucks another steal)
- New shocks, rear shocks have coil springs to fix rear sag
- Added 2" blocks in the rear and a torsion bar crank in the front
- Basic tune using hp tuners ( still in progress, once I get new front o2s put in I will be dialing it in more)

I then go ambitious and added a 3" body lift from summit and some flexy flares and a nice diamond deck filler plate on the back

I then got a little over zelous and get stuck while hunting one day what I thought was solid ground was frozen marsh, I learned the downfalls of the open differential very quickly.....

Around the same time I almost rear ended someone that stopped short in front of me because the brakes suck on these trucks, I did some research and ended up with

- new hydroboost power steering pump
- new hydroboost power steering lines
- new hydroboost unit
- new master cylinder from 1 ton
- ebay hydroboost adapter plate for astro van

I also decided the open diff had to go. I upgraded it with:

- new detriot true trac differential
- new outer wheel bearings and seals
- new carrier bearings
- new fluid
- summit racing pinion bearing support diff cover

and here she sits after it all! Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I did everything myself, built not bought baby :boti:

Nice job HOEIN, I did all the work on my truck myself also. It always feels good and pride when people ask about the truck. NICE HOEpicture.jpg
