What do you consider normal oil pressure?

DOD engines have weaker Pressure Relief valves, to compensate for the system's crazy high pressure cylinder cut out solenoid's.

I wonder if 2007+ with AFM removed/disabled also idle higher at 40. Maybe low idle due to only 4 cylinders being used?

They do not unfortunately. My AFM is disabled and it still idles close to 20. Besides that, even with AFM equipped vehicles, the ECM is programmed not to enter V4 mode at idle.

The relief vavle is in the oil pump. What Oil do you guys use? In my 07 i use Royal Purple 5w30. Im 40 psi cold and 25-30 psi at operating temp..

My 02 2500hd with a 6.0 was 40-50 at idle and 60 while driving. I had it from 160-193,000 miles . My 07 5.3 Tahoe is 40 idle 50-60 driving. I just got it and it had 160 on it. The 02 got dexos 07 has mobile 1 both were 5w30.

My 04 Yukon XL 2500 6.0L has around 20 at idle and 40 driving it
