It provides better flow for electricity. Didn't help with my dimming, I still dim, but it'd probably be worse.

It involves upgrading the size and quality of wire for the battery and alternator. This will provide better current flow which can affect many aspects of your vehicle (less voltage drop, no dimming lights, etc.)

Negative Battery to chassis
Negative Battery to block
Positive Battery to alternator

Some people use 4 gauge wiring, some use 0/1 gauge. Some people will also use a 200amp fuse for the positive from the battery to the alternator, but I don't see the point.

ELECTRICITY FLOWS IN A CIRCLE from negative to positive.

so someone had the bright Idea that they should also upgrade the negative side of the circuit on their Honda with its 10 ga grounds instead of just the positive to reduce voltage loss with their 'bumping' system.

then someone else said : "Wow great Idea, lemme upgrade the negative wire on the battery too, totally awesome! I'll call it "the big 3" and talk about it everywhere on the internet.

Mass lemming activity ensued on Sounddomain & ECA, spreading to other internet forums..

(see above for the actual 'benefit')
