You think??? I guess it would bend huh... but like a 295/30 or 295/25 would probably be around the same diameter as your old 24's. I wonder how thin the sidewalls would be though.

So Modded would you reccomend a 2/3 drop? Or just bag it? I really want to bag mine but not sure if i really want to spend the cash for it. why do you say it rides like shit? is it because the drop? or the small sidewall tire?

Allando,
Yeah a 305/30/26 has a load rating of 109, while the 295 version is 107, which 4 ratings from the stock 111. That is unsafe to run on these trucks. A 305/35/24 has a match 11 load rating with the stock 20s.

Big Blue,
Yeah it rides pretty tough. Bumps feel pretty bad now so I hav to switch my Bilstein HDs out because they are really not meant for 26s, with 24s they were good. Belltech SP shocks have to be used with these big wheels and a drop.
I suggest a 2/3 because it suits a DD more. The ride will be alot better and rubbing will not be too much of on issue.
Do not bag it, unless you get Ekstensive or soe other cut n' chop shopto do it, it won't even be very lo and will still rub.

for a simple bag job with out cutting its going to be around 4500 and up. thats chaotic rods and customs.. ekstensive for sure will be expensive as hell. there is another shop also killer ridez that will be cheaper than ekstensive. and i also know some up north of austin that has been doing some awsome work. if you want want to i can give you his info and you talk to him about it.

just an FYI nero Steve is running the 25's series on his 26's and he has had NO problems with his rims and I would say he would be a good example because of all the weight he's hauling around, so I would highly consider it

but the tires you are running plus NNBS on 6's looks sexy just sucks you have rubbing

I don't know much about the newer body style but can you roll the fenders?
is it rubbing on the inside of the fender or the lip?

Thanks guys!:Handshake:
Right now the suspension is still settling since the truck was on stands for like four days.
The tire is a 305/30/26 and still rubs a shit load.
Even with a +35 offset, the washer fluid tank rubs on the tire on the drivers side when turning right.
I had to cut off pretty much all of the front wheel liner front/back portions, then I had to trim off some metal from behind the wheel liners. The tires rub on the handbrake line and are a hair off rubbing on the metal above the tire and in the inner part of the fender.
Turns also have to be taken at like 2MPH, Stabilitrack turns on at just about every turn (due to rubbing).:emotions122:
Lastly, I highly do not suggest a 3/5 drop for a DD because it will kill you with all the rubbing and work need to clear them. Ride is not great at all.:Plugged:
I'm ony keeping it like this because I don't drive it much (only put on 18000 miles in 3 years).
Just save some life and get a 2/3 if you have 26s, you will have a good amount of clearance issues with that too.

Why dont you go a little higher? What if you went like a 2/4? Or went with the Beltech struts to be able to adjust?

I can probably speak for him on this one.. once you see your hoe so low you really DON'T want to do anything to change it

now if its cutting up your tires thats a different story, lift it just enough to be driveable and thats it :D

I roll 305-30-26 with the following.

Front:
Belltech 2" spindles
Belltech adjustable struts (down .5")
Cut 1/4 of a coil (did this prior to having the struts)

Rear:
Belltech 4" springs
Belltech shocks

The front rubs some when turning. I have trimmed and trimmed the plastic, but still rubs. I'm use to it and it doesn't really bother me. It is a little embarrassing at times. The ride is cool until you're on a rough road. I'm going to bag mine without cutting or tubing it. The front will tuck some and the rear will sit almost on the tire. (see attachment is an example of how it will sit)
