GM has an egr block, I bought one when I did my longtubes (my truck is an egr and the headers didn't have provision for the egr tube). E (xhaust) G (as) R (ecirculation) uses exhaust gases that cycle back through the intake, does nothing but hinder performance and introduce crap back through the intake. I still haven't installed the block but I'll take a pic of the egr tube and blocker when I get home shortly.

Now wouldn't the lack of exhaust recirculation cause the throwing of codes...or is it something that would have to be retuned?

So only 99-02's had the EGR valves? The link to eBay says 99-02 but the other link to the $8 part says it will work on my 04....
