What is a Yukon XL 2500 ?

Is that just another name for a Yukon XL Denali? Or all XL=2500? Or is something different?
Silly question, sorry, but there are so many names!

XL is an extended length Yukon, like a suburban. You can get a Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Yukon XL Denali, or Yukon 2500. Much beefier.

The Yukon XL 2500 is the same as the Suburban 2500. It has a beefier trans,suspension, and axles as compared to the Yukon Denali. The Denali does have the 6.2L instead of the 6.0L in the 2500, but the 2500 comes with a lower axle ratio.

The Yukon XL Denali is a Yukon XL with a 6.2L engine, 3.42 gears and AWD transfer case.

The Yukon XL 2500 is build on the 2500HD pickup truck frame/suspension/drivetrain. Completely different than the regular XL and Denali.

Yes, but the 2500 has a stonger trans, tcase, axles, suspension and has a lower gear ratio then the Denali, hence the higher tow rating.

If you're not towing near max capacity a lot, don't need 4low, and want a smoother ride, the Denali is a great truck. It'll still haul more than a standard yukon xl.
