2017 Tahoe LT 2WD, tow package, stock 18" wheels, stock Michelin tires.

B pillar tag states 35psi which is what I have been running for two years. Manual states that this is the minimum. Tire sidewall shows 44psi max.

Yesterday I got the truck back from the dealer after a flat tire repair and all tires were inflated to 41psi.

I didn't notice this until after I left.

Thoughts?

My 2019 Suburban Z71 with 18 inch rims and goodyear wranglers was delivered with tires at 37lbs. I usually run a few pounds above the minimum on my vehicles and will keep them at 37lbs. It rides great.

Mine rides fine at 41psi.

I was concerned about potential damage/tire wear.

At 8k/year probably not a big deal?

Will keep an eye on it.

I assume that larger whee/tire combos require the higher psi and the tech just missed that these are 18's?

Actually some of the bigger combos have less pressure than the smaller combos.

Whatever the sticker say in the door jamb is the recommended. NEVER go by what it says on the sidewall. I like to run around 37, 38psi on these trucks.

Running 37-38psi on both 20s and 24s. Seems to be a happy medium.
