i have 275/55/20 factory tires and would be interested in upsizing the tire slightly to add additional sidewall. What is the largest I can go without adding a light or any other mod. It looks like a 275/60/20 would add appx one inch. Will this fit perfectly or will rubbing occur? Searched a bit and didn't see anything. 2013 Yukon denali

I have 22 inch Gmc rims on my Yukon with 305/40r22

Those are slightly shorter (31.6") and slightly wider (12") than my 285/45r22s (32.2"/11.2"). Mine fit fine but at stock height it's a close call.

A 275/60r20 is 33" tall/10.8" wide, so the width isn't an issue but the height is. If you check out the lifted/leveled thread, it seems a few guys have run them with a level kit but I do believe they would rub at stock height.

Oh, ok, did not expect them to rub but clearance is limited I gues. I do want to explore raising the front of my Denali. Not sure why they have so much nose slope?? I don't care to lift the vehicle especially if it compromising the ride but would like to level out the front end. Need to do some searches here to figure out my options and impact on ride quality. I tend to like a softer ride so if leveling hurts that I may leave it alone.

I know what you mean man. Expeditions can fit 34" tires with a level, but GM SUVs, thanks to the small square wheelwells, have trouble fitting 33s. On my Nissan Armada, I fit 295/70/17s, about 33 1/3" and still had plenty of room to spare. I'd still rather drive a Suburban though, more comfortable and reliable. The nose slope/rake is for gas mileage. I'm also planning to level mine, and from what I have read, anything up to 2" of level does not affect ride quality so long as the front auto-ride rod is either relocated (to 1/2" above its stock perch) or extended (again, by 1/2").
