What is the piece above the drivers seat I think it's an antenna for either onstar or xm

Yes that will be your onstage antenna. You can get them from a junkyard rig. I’ve also seen them on eBay for a little more. The visors can be unbolted, and the front part of the headliner dropped to reveal where the bolt is that holds the antenna to the roof. It’s not an overly difficult process to do, just tedious.
