What is this electronic device in my 2006 Tahoe?

Thanks for all the comments so far.
I tried "0000" and it paired to my iphone 5s? I think that's what I have.
Now what?

What can I do with it? Yes that's a stupid question.

If I get a call I press the "lifted phone" icon button and it answers and a hidden microphone picks up my voice and the voice on the phone comes over the car speakers?

Calling out - how do I do that? I don't use Siri but maybe I need to learn how to work with her.

Yep - It seems to work that way. The buttons on the device seem to do various things. YukonXL04's idea to get the manual for $25 is still a good one. Will try a few more things today - e.g. get music to play from the iphone.

Assuming it works like any other bluetooth device (headset, that is), you should be able to just dial like normal and your phone defaults to the bluetooth. Answering a call by swiping the iphone screen you may have to select "bluetooth" after you answer. My work phone (iphone 4s) does this.

The device possibly has an "answer/end call" button which would answer the call and automatically set your phone to bluetooth (again, this is how my work phone functions)

I ordered the UBT103 to get the manual and see how the controls work.
Today we got it to play Spotify from my iphone but it was only coming out of one speaker. I wonder if the Bluetooth device is just hooked to one speaker.
On the Tahoe head unit I tried to select AUX or some input so I could change the right/left fader but I couldn't get that to work.

I looked it up. It's definitely the UBT103. Can't find a manual but heck, it's only $25. Just buy another one, read the manual so you know how to use it, then resale it on ebay for $15-$20 as brand new lol.

The new UBT103 kit arrived today. I haven't taken the bezel off but after reading the manual the speaker wires need to be cut and go in/out the harness that comes with the UBT103 kit. Probably the PO only connected to the left side front speaker wire and that's why I'm not getting iphone Spotify Bluetooth sound out of anywhere but the left speaker. I guess I neeed to go in and check what wiring was actually done. Thanks.

Cool! Glad you figured it out. Yea I would check all the wiring and make sure it's all good. Fix what needs to be fixed. Worst case you have a spare now lol.
