I installed an app radio in a friend's truck a couple weeks ago. It's a pretty cool system. That being said, get ready to not be able to listen to any music while using navigation. I've recommended Kenwood to all of my friends and family and never heard of or noticed this lag you speak of. I used to sell Eclipse before Fujitsu Ten pulled the plug and never noticed any lag there either.

just buy a tomtom or a garmin, way cheaper and way easier to update if you got free maps for life

Got everything up and running! The install was pretty easy... Just connect the HU harness to the GMOS harness, plug the connectors in to the factory harness, plug in the ASWC box to the prewired GMOS harness, and thats pretty much it. Had to trim up the "box" that it sits in, the factory radio is smaller on the bottom and fits in there.

I really like the HU, I haven't had an aftermarket one in years so things have change dramatically so I don't know how this unit stacks up against the competition... but I like it. Usually I find out annoyances pretty quick when using someone elses HU, this one seems to meet my standards.

I went to Tampa (4 hours away) and used mostly bluetooth audio and everything seemed to work/ sound well after I dialed everything in.

Unfortunately, the S3 and the HU don't get along well... After extensive research, I find that many Galaxy S3 users have a lot of issues when connecting to various Pioneer Appradios... The signal craps out and screen goes to static/blank. I have an aftermarket MHL cable and I believe that is the issue. I ordered the actual Pioneer HDMI kit and official Samsung adapter, that seems to be the best shot at getting everything to work right. But when things were working, it was really cool. Display whatever is on the phones screen on the HU, use a few different apps, control Pandora thru the HU, etc. It wasnt working properly long enough for me to test nav and audio simultaneously. But I do know that when I have the Appradio running, I can hit "source" and switch from HD radio, Bluetooth Audio, and Pandora while in App Mode...
