cool....i'm gonna get the 93 done then, if for anything, like you said, paying for a tune, might as well get the best out of it possible!

I got the 87 tune. My kon runs really good, but I assume if I went with a higher octane tune I would have a better running truck. Next on the list is a magnaflow, which I'll get it retuned for. Might as well get it tuned for 91 octane while I'm at it.

Why would you retune once you swapped out a muffler? The mufflers nowadays offer more of a sound advantage over anything else, some performance but not such a gain like going from no tune to tune.

yea, wait until you make another valid change and get the free retune...unless you don't plan to make any other changes soon, then when you have 3-4 days down time, send it in for a 93 tune :D

So you're telling me getting just a Magnaflow muffler isn't "worth" getting a retune, as oppose to getting a full exhaust? I'm looking for a nice deep sound with minimal drone. I might consider retuning it for the higher octane, cheaper way of gaing a little more performance.

if you just change muffler ( I wouldn't do cat back, just muffler) you won't need a retune.

My tahoe is basically stock and I 2nd the 93 octane tune makes a huge difference. before the tune the motor would just go flat in the higher RPM. after the tune the sound of the engine is different and it starts pulling hard where as before I got nothing! To top it off I can see my fuel mileage has increased. I ran a tank out after the tune to make sure it was all 93 octane in it and from down low you can feel the difference. I don't know if its the lack of TM or the octane that makes it pull so much harder now, but I like it. Never thought I would sprint my truck up to triple digit speeds, but its fun now hehe..Justin knows his stuff.
