IDK man, I don't have any first hand experience with the plasti dip but I have 3 younger brothers who use it and a handful of friends. Some of them even use it on dirt bikes, ATV's, 4x4 trucks, basically lots of off-roading applications and they say it'll hold up for a couple years minimum...it's some pretty tough shit

If I have any problems tho I'll for sure let everyone know. Hopefully I'll have this done in the next couple weeks....will update

yea it is pretty durable and i have dealt with plastipid many times before but the part of stepping on the plastidip is what would lead me to not do it because since its pealable it will tear after stepping on it many times

I recently put some stuff on mine to bring out the black. Did the roof rack too. Unfortunately I do not remember what it was, and its back at home. Was some sort of acid goop that was specifically for use on faded black plastic.

That's what I use on my black trim when needed... :)

or Mothers makes one called "Back to Black." Same stuff pretty much. Works great on restoring your black faded trim.

Check out leatherique.com
IIRC they sell a dye to re-dye plastic trim. I'd call them to discuss your application but it seems the best way to go bc its permanent.

You very well may be right but its only like 7 bucks a can so if it starts to peel I'll just yank it off and do the restore.

Sorry for creating this thread then shooting everyone down :badidea: but I didn't see the diamond white dip till after making the thread.

Apologies everyone but thank you for the feedback and I'll update the thread anyway once I do the dip.

Sorry I did not see this sooner.

Get as seen on tv wipe new. It's 20 bucks in stores. 15 on cvs website.

Definitly works perfect lasts very long. Very easy to apply.

Get it on your bare skin and it will make a finger fall off.

Great stuff
