I'm thinking about swapping and putting a 504 in, do you think it would fit? If not what would be the biggest size I could fit?

It really depends on how much work you want to do, why stop at a 502 and go right to a 572. if you have the money and skills you can have whatever you want.

A 504? What is that? BBC? Unless you like headaches it would be far easier to get a stroked LS engine that way you can keep your existing, motor mounts, fuel management, exhaust, intake system etc... As for stroked LS engines, the sky is the limit if your budget allows it, but a standard 408 is fairly affordable. The price goes up with cubic inches and cylinder head choices, 416, 427, 434, 454, etc...

What are you looking to do with it? For the price of swapping a large ci engine you could turbo your existing 5.3 or 6.0 and it would run circles around most n/a engines bbc or otherwise.
