What to expect from a aftermarket Tune

I have a K&N 63 series (be here tomorrow) and a super 44 FM. These are it so far for power adders. I think i'm gonna head to a local shop local to Raleigh thats known for their GM work. I called today and found that they are resonalbly priced and i always feel better being able to get someone on the phone or in case of emergency get quick help. What can i expect from a Tune and Dyno with what i have so far? I'm aiming for the police package specs.

Your vehicle is not modded enough to warrant a dyno tune. I would only recommend a dyno tune if it is load bearing and with a competent tuner.

As we discussed via PM, increases will depend on driver, engine, modifications and gas (quality and octane). Exhaust provides little to no performance benefit, intake can provide some, when tuned for it. With your engine (higher compression) you should be running 89+ octane even on stock tuning.

We typically see 10-25HP and 1-2MPG, depending on the variables. Shifts are definitely cleaned up with that transmission.

yeah i know Jenna i was more or less looking for customer replies. I had a hard time with my trinity tuner for my Charger and i ended up Bricking my car for two days due to a faulty/glitch in the firmware. So no offense meant to you or BB. Just trying to cover my bases since i can't just scroll into your show being that i'm in Raleigh NC.

Not to thread jack here but I have a few questions. I would go the auto cal I think. So how many trans tunes would I get and how do I change between them. I tow 6500lb boat through some hilly curvey narow roads. I would like a better tow tune plus a mild performance tune for day use. Will I need to get out laptop to change or will the tow haul button make the change for me. I had 3 tunes on my g8gxp and the stage 3 was flat nasty. Burn rubber in 3rd and bark hard in 4th. I was always scared it was to much so I stayed in stage 2. As far as engine I have 6.2 volant and the budget magnaflow 3.5 axle back like norcalss. thanks for your thoughts.

Unless you have specific tow/haul requests, we would leave it alone. So essentially, you could have performance mode, until you hit tow/haul mode and it would go back to stock settings.
