what useful items do you carry in your SUV?

Does anyone carry tools in their Yukon/Tahoe? If so, what tools and where do you store them? In my 2003 suburban I carry a floor jack because their is room under the rear seats. But the new Denali does not have that space.. I do put a few items in the console like disinfecting wipes, a rag, a flashlight and a Leatherman multi tool. I also have a small dash cleaning brush. How about you folks?

I carry a 1/2’’ impact drill to remove lug nuts, a LED red/yellow light bar if I am disabled on a busy roadway changing a flat, I carry a battery powered inflator, a flat nylon prying tool to get the little door open to be able to let the spare tire down (next to hitch cover on my Premier). In the console, some wet wipes, a flash light, rubber disposable gloves for when I pump gas, a pen & a tire pressure gauge. There might be a few other things but that is all for now.

1/2” breaker bar (many uses but mostly for removing lug nuts) and appropriate socket.
Tow strap recovery rope.
Jumper cables (only ever used them to help other people)
Fire extinguisher (surprised more people don’t have these in their cars)
Road flares.
Handgun.
12v air compressor.
OBD scan tool.
I’m probably forgetting some stuff.

On long road trips I’ll bring a few small hand tools like a 3/8 drive and some common sockets. I also always pack water and some snacks. Never know if you slide off the road in winter and need to spend a night in the car.

I carry most of the basic stuff listed here (flashlight, G19, tow strap, blankets, shit tickets, ratchet straps, etc), but BY FAR my most used are the folding cargo organizers with handles for Costco/Sams or groceries. No boxes to break down and trash, and no worries about the slight slope...

I always carry sunglasses and cold beer in case of break down because after reading the posts on this forum my new 6.2l will explode any moment now and it might be a while before I can get towed to the shop! Besides that, I'm in Florida and we consider those tools!

Also an AR-15, and a high capacity 9mm pistol. As they say - a pistol is only good for getting to the rifle if SHTF. —— I’m kidding! But the way things are going around the country I am thinking this is not a bad idea.

Seriously, an essential item is one of those small portable quick chargers that hook up to the battery are awesome! The brand I have is “Weego” and it’s about the size of sunglass case.
I have used it for myself when my battery died and helped a few people out with this device. It’s rechargeable with usb and will last several times charging dead 12 volt batteries.

I do the same with the collapsible cargo organizers. Keeps groceries from rolling around

I guess I don't really have anything. Multi purpose tool, hydraulic jack, rags, case of water, box of crackers, chair, small table, cooler, first-aid kit, blanket, scarf, socks, and house slippers. They all are in the back of the tahoe in a 3 compartment shelf bag

I carry way too much but it’s our road trip do it all vehicle.
- fire extinguishers
- misc phone chargers
- flashlights / headlamps
- on board air compressor
- 12v fridge w dedicated lithium house battery
- recovery points, shackles, ropes, etc
- trauma bag with all kinds of first aid supplies including AED
- tool bag with specialty sockets, wrenches and mini sledge
- tool box with gloves, zip ties, or temp gun, multimeter, propane torch, spray lube, misc hand tools, screwdrivers, pry tools, utility knife, pliers, deadblow, wrenches, 1/4 impact with bit sets, 3/8 ratchet, 1/2 impact with lug nut sockets, batteries and charger above electric tools
- complete 1/4 and 3/8 saw and metric hand socket set
- shovel
- jump box
- jumper cables
- box with a lot of unique spare parts for my vehicle (glow plugs, filters, relays, fuses, injector, fuel pressure regulator , fuel rail sensor, lug studs and nuts, turbo vane position sensor, lengths of electrical wire and heater hose and brake hose, etc) so if something happens I can get us off the road to the next town or shop.
- sat phone or inreach and 2m 50 watt mobile depending on the trip
- 2 handheld 2m radios for caravaning
- iPad mini and mount for navigation
- paper road atlas of the us as a backup

I guess I like being prepared. Haven’t been left stranded yet and I’m sure there’s a lot more hidden under seats etc.

Floor bottle/ jackstand combo from tractor supply, a cheap hart tool kit from walmart, first aid kit with tq, 100rds of 9mm and 5.56, hunting knife, rope, snacks for my daughter and a moving blanket.
