hahaha true that! good story for ya on that one

My brothers friends mom bought a new explorer back 3 yrs years ago brand new. This summer we had to replace her motor since she blew it up due to not changing the oil or any preventive maintenance on it. She had 50,000 miles on the motor with 1 oil change. talk about some dumb asses out there, she is 41 yrs old too, so its not like oil is new to her

Did you drain the oil? I bet it was dry. She is lucky she got that far on one oil change. Crazy.

I run Royal Purple 5w-30 and a K&N Oil Filter. Once I switched to Royal Purple I noticed my Hoe seemed to run and idle a little smoother . Would definetly recommend it :rocking:

Yeah my mom thinks that the service light that comes on every 6k miles is what tells her when to change the oil. I guess she thinks the kwik kar sticker is just for decoration too. :Stupid Me:

Update: I've only put about 15 mi on it after the oil change and today it already looks like the oil is getting dirty. Would this be from the previous oil since I had added seafoam to it, and it was pretty dirty when I changed it? Or any other ideas why it would do this?

Synthetic will do some cleaning up and probably the seafoam has an effect also.
