yes, that is what I ment... I have been running RP for a year now. Very happy with the stuff but it is super pricey and I have heard that penzoil platinum is just as good (some people on other forums say better).

I remeber a long time ago there was a we site that was dedicated to oil data.

I was asking about oil at PT.net and it sounds like a lot of dudes are running penzoil platnum with great results.

I've always heard you're supposed to step up to the next weight once you hit 100k miles so I use the 10 30.

Also Atomic, I've never used Penzoil because I heard the same thing.

I only have 71k on mine. The only reason I was thinking about trying something else is because I have a sticky lifter and wanted to use the best oil type to quiet down the problem until I get around to fixing it.

I have ran pennzoil dino oil in a few vehicles for years. I have never had any trouble and the vehicles run clean and smooth.
I really think if you use any quality oil and change it regularly you will be fine.
It is amazing how many people don't even take the time to change the oil every 3000 miles, let alone do preventive maintenance then wonder why their car runs like ass.

hahaha true that! good story for ya on that one

My brothers friends mom bought a new explorer back 3 yrs years ago brand new. This summer we had to replace her motor since she blew it up due to not changing the oil or any preventive maintenance on it. She had 50,000 miles on the motor with 1 oil change. talk about some dumb asses out there, she is 41 yrs old too, so its not like oil is new to her
