Same started happening to mine!! Go to cadillacforums.com and message RippyPartsDept. He will give you a quote with a discounted price for being a member of a caddy forum. I replaced both of mine and it looked 10x better.

I dont know much about platidippin.... but i dont want to do entire emblem... just center. can plastdip be tapped off?

Yes. So easy and a cheap ($6-7 for a can) and removable when you want to get rid of it! It'd be a good option to at the very least, envision what it'd look like.

On www.cadillacforums.com there is a guy named Chris (SN: RippyPartsDept) that will give you discounts on caddy parts for being a member there... prices are even cheaper then eBay... all new stuff. He works at a caddy dealer out of NC.
