What would you buy if you had to replace your GMT800/900 SUV and couldn't buy a GM product?...

For me it's a second gen Toyota Sequoia 4WD or a 2005 or newer Lexus GX 470/460. Need extra power and towing capacity vs. a V6 4-Runner. If it wasn't for their engines, Ford Expedition would be good alternative.

Ford or Lincoln full size but likely a new Lexus LX hybrid that’s coming out (money not being considered)

maybe go back to a 2nd gen 4runner 5 speed 4x4 but it's gonna need mods.......
and my kids are not going to like being crammed up in the back seat
or maybe a slightly more modern landrover but I have never seen one without a check engine light so :( money pit....

Durango. The only reason we stuck with GM was wanted to stick with truck based SUV.

Love the PPV look of that 2007 Tahoe. Mine still has the blue lights behind the grill, but it was more of a general purpose sheriff's vehicle given the standard interior and 4.8L Vortec

Thanks! I worked my arse off on it!

Going to assume money isn't a factor in this hypothetical question. And I would be replaced suv for suv as I have my truck too currently.

So I would find a rust free full size Bronco with a 351. A 92 to 96 would be ideal, but a 89 to 91 would work as long as it had the overdrive transmission. I would even take a 302 powered one as long as it had the 4.10s to make up for the lower power output. My 95 F150 has and still does treat me very good, and sooo easy to work on too.
Barring those options. Next in like would be an 78 to 87 Bronco with a Windsor so I can swap in an AOD for the overdrive to replace the 3 speed it would have.

Next would be a 78 to 93 Grand Wagoneer with a 401( pre-83) or 360 (post 83).

That being said. If I could have a GM but not a GMT800/900.

A 2 door pre 1996 Tahoe or even a 90 to 92ish K5 would be next. As I have access to a 400 with a TPI setup I've been dying to put in a truck.
A rust free BlaZeR2would get me by. With a supposed 4700 lbs tow rating, it should pull my boat okay for the distances I take it.
Those are the only things I would be interested in BUYING. I have driven and worked on newer vehicles and no thanks. I'm not even old yet and I will take repair simplicity over creature comforts any day.
Now, if some one would GIVE me a 91 to 95 7.3 IDI single wheel standard cab f350 or late 70s Ramcharger with a 400 or 440....I wouldn't turn them down.
