not really Kirk. Intro is based out of Cali and makes majority of the wheel centers for these 3pc companies. ;)

Eh, just going off of what my buddy (who owns a high end wheel shop here) says. Don't know who makes the centers, but I'd imagine a lot of the other parts are made elsewhere. I know that some of the wheels he had built or his truck were painted and assembled here, but he told me that a lot of the wheels are made here.

What's Intro, anyway? Never heard of them. Are they new?

Intro is one of, if not the, largest custom billet wheel manufacturer in the country. They've been around for atleast 10 years, if not longer, I just picked up on them quite some time ago. I've used them on all my vehicles since.

They also have a 3pc line (my wife's wheels are Intro's Luxury line-called ID Luxury Wheels). They also cut the centers for alot of the other high end 3pc wheel manufacturers (I believe COR/Swiss/Modular Society being some of them). The actual barrels/hoops from a 3pc wheel might be made overseas, not sure, but the centers are American made and undoubtedly the most important part of the wheel.

Thanks for the info, Robbie. Checked out the website. I love those 7-spoke wheels (the first of the Luxury series ones). They're just like (the same as?) the Asanti AF 121s.

I'd love to have a set of AF 121s with chrome centers on black barrels. I think they'd look awesome. No one seems to mate black barrels to chrome faces -- only brushed (or black), or they do the opposite.

Really? With chrome faces? Snap a pic next time you see it, please! Even online, I can never seem to find the set up.

I think that brushed wheels on a truck with chrome accents just never look right.

Black barrels, chrome lips, black windows. Has a red stripe around the outer hoop too. I'll take a pic next time im at the wheel shop. I had one on my phone but deleted it when my wife opted not to do them.

Why? How its made. All ARP Hardware, the only 3pc wheel manufacturer that does that. Quality and construction. It's like buying a Ferrari. Higher standards, higher quality materials, lightweight.

Costs... all relative to your financial status. Folks who can drive a Ferrari don't care for a set of KMC Hammers when they can afford a set of HRE's without batting an eye.

I know if I was loaded I wouldn't care if it was $7K for a set of wheels... one day, maybe. LOL
