That thought entered my mind, but this is the first real vacation I’ve taken in 4 years so I’m going to enjoy my time and let somebody else do it.
We have a friend that lives in North Myrtle who just gave me a name of a shop they’ve been using for years so I may give them a shot. I’m guessing to do both sides will probably run me around $1K which is fine with me. Hopefully they use Moog or something of that quality. From what I can tell it looks like an hour labor per side.

1k, that's highway robbery. I would buy the tools and do it my self. Use the left over money on the vacation. I can knock out both sides in an hr with power tools of course.

As long as it isn’t really full of rust, you just need a big socket etc. no real tools to buy, auto zone or advance etc will loan you the tools you need for free.

I think I would jack up that side and see if its loose or makes sounds, or feels rough. Take the wheel off and rotate it. See what it is like. I have a 2004 Denali and I get and have been getting Service Stability notifications for several years. They are sometimes accompanied by the traction control, modulating brake pressure, to the so called "affected wheel". I cant prove this but I think rust on the ABS reluctor rings cause the problem.
Also not sure by how you wrote the issue up but popping in the steering might be your steering shaft.
Both issues are DIY fixable, and IMHO, take longer than 20 minutes.

Just got the truck back. The bearing was completely roached. He charged me $700 parts and labor which I thought reasonable. I wasn’t about to interrupt my vacation renting/buying tools. Just the parts alone would have run me $300 to $400 plus tool rental etc.

The dealer quoted me $450 here to do it. The part is $105. Glad you got it running though, and did t foul up too much vacation time
