Hello

I have a set of 24" wheels from my 2002 yukon denali. I recently purchased a 2007 LTZ and unfortunately the wheels do not fit on my truck. Bolt pattern is the same, but apparently GM changed the offset from 02 (offset 10mm, back spacing 5.94") to the 07 model (offset 35mm, back spacing 6.88")

Does anyone know if I can have my wheel modified to the new specs? It sucks to have awesome wheels sitting in my garage that don't work on my truck.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You can always get wheel spacers to help an off offset fit!
Also the new GM wheels have a 31mm offset to be exact, 30mm is what most know it as but 35mm like you said can work.

Will Wheel spacers bring the wheel in? The problem is the wheel sticks too far out and hits on the inner fender, near the running board. I think the wheel needs to be brought in

sorry to say, nope...
I think mine at 35mm offset. Your 2002 model rims are 10mm?

Sorry about that dude, I thought you meant the wheel was too inside!
Yeah you basically have to buy new rims, the olds ones just won't work!

I learned that lesson the ard way too. I pulled off my 24" Momo Storms off my 04 Escalade trying to put them on my 07 LTZ. No luck with that either.

It was a very sad day when I couyld not remount my beloved Storms.lol

It depends on the type/manufacturer of the wheels. Some companies like Billet Specialties, Boze, CCW, & Intro will re-rim their wheels to change the customer's backspacing. They re-use the center and mount a new "hoop" around it at the backspacing that you select. It's not cheap, but less than a new set of wheels.

I've heard some people have shaved some of the wheel to make it a higher offset but i'm not sure how safe that is. I have an 08 Tahoe and my wheels are a +18 offset. They stick out a bit in the front but not in the back. I went with a 295/35 tire and i have no rubbing at all.
