Recently I have had the Chevrolet dealership diagnose the reason for my abs light being on. Turns out the wheel speed sensors are bad. I have noticed break performance issues. Nothing serious being that I did a full on break job about 4 months ago replacing everything. I don't think it's stopping as good as it should. I've heard before that having the WSS out that it may affect transmission shifting somehow. Any tips, or further information/ concerns I should be aware of? Perhaps ideas on how to replace the sensors myself without having to pay $330 at GM to have them replaced. Thanks.

Pull the abs fuse. Sounds like a terrible idea but its a temp fix as your light it already on, and my brakes became much better without the fuse anyway.

pulling the abs fuse do not make brakes run better. if there was a verified difference then your abs is is having issues that are interfering with the proper operation of your brakes. likely the isolation valves malfunctioning allowing uncontrolled fluid movement in the module.
