Just wondering if anyone has experienced cracked/broken wheels studs? I had one break recently when I saw that my lug nut was loose and then attempted to tighten it, it snappped off after 3/4 of a turn. I have aftermarket rims and wanted to know what you or mechanic torque your lugs at? 100lb? 115?

Thanks!

I torque mine to inbetween 100-120lbs. Factory calls for 140lbs but that seems way to tight. 100lbs is the lowest I would go though. Its funny because 14mm studs online say that you should torque them to 90lbs, but then GM says 140lbs, I would rather go with GM recommendations.
For it to snap off like that it most have been too tight from the get go.
