Hi Guys,
New to the forum as well as owning a Tahoe.
Bought a 2002 Tahoe with a blown engine.
Bought a engine with 60K from local junkie.
Installed motor but have one hose that I don't know where it connects to.
It a plastic hose coming off the front top of intake and follows the fuel rail on driver side to the back of engine somewhere. Hose is coming from a plastic canister on intake. Motor is running great even without the hose connected on the one side.Take a look at the pics. Any help is appreciated.
Thx
Dave..

thats that hose for the evap emissions system on the pic on the left its plugged into the purge solenoid it goes all the way back under the car to the charcoal filter next to the tank from there a hose goes to the vent valve solenoid above the rear differential then fromthere another hose goes the the fuel tank
ive replaced just about everypart of my evap system
basically what it does is it stores the fuel vapor from your fuel tank in a charcoal filter big rectangle box thing next to your fuel tank
then when the evap drivecycle is complete that purge solenoid opens up and a vent valve solenoid opens back by the fuel tank and all that stored fuel vapor gets recirculated back into the intake manifold into the cylinders to get used

Thanks, So the charcoal filter is in the back next to the tank so I must have a hose going from the back to this tube?

correct follow that tub and youll see like a valve then the hose continues on back under the vehicle
yeah the evap system is just more useless emissions garbage like the catalytic conv. that uncle sam makes us put on our vehicles
older gas tanks used to vent to the outside air eventually someone decided no thats bad for the enviroment so they invented this system
