you can put a 10 in both the tahoe and the burb, but they both use different boxes, and from what I can tell its easier to build a box for the tahoes. The suburban box is very shallow at the mounting point. however if you offset the sub from the stock grill a few inches you can get like 6" mounting depth.

I started fiber-glassing a box for my 10" RE SEX in the back, believe its almost 7" deep. problem was I didn't like the sound of it sealed. and the most airspace I could get without cutting up the plastic panel was around 1 cu.ft.

You tahoe guys can use the MTX thunderform box. or build one like this http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20475

short yukons and tahoes are the same for audio. Yukon XL's and suburbans are the same. its alot easier than typing short wheel base and long wheel base each time lol

Ah yes. I have a LWB also. You have a thread for your sub box build? Maybe I can convince the wife that it would be a fun project to lay some 'glass.

Ah.. Sorry, I was thinking you had a shorty for some reason.

I only got about half way through on that project before I scrapped it for the console.
I got the whole wheel well and side wall there glassed, then decided to build a small wood box for the 2 8's (Original plan). decided they weren't enough so bought my current 10. then tried it in a sealed box, didn't like it, then swapped to ported. couldn't get enough airspace in the stock location for ported so here came the console.

Then decided it wasn't enough and bought an 18 lol.

Heres some pics

An 18"!!!! :Insane: I thought I went overboard with my projects lol

Haha. It's a sound quality 18. Not a blow your window out 18...

But I have had pretty much every combination and size of subwoofers before except 18s. So wanted something I haven't ever had
