Where is your radar detector mounted?

I have my valentine hardwired in my 05 that has the little dots and I dont have a problem with it holding with it resting on the mirror. I have also used it in my 08 Yukon and didnt have any problems with it holding. I always put just a little bit of spit on the suction cups when putting it up and never have problems with it falling down.

Mine wouldn't stay up for 2 minutes even if I wet it.

I had an idea though. Instead of using suction cups I could get a some of that "clear" hook/loop stuff like they use for toll tags to hold it up on the window. Then I'd never have to worry about it falling which it did a few times in my last car.

I have my V1 mounted to the left of my rear view mirror with an Invisicord connection to the back of the rear view mirror. It's not too close to me, and its line of site isn't blocked by anything.

If your suction cups no longer stick, then you just need new suction cups.
