I'm looking for a good place to tap into the courtesy power. I know I can tap into the harness from the door but I'm wondering if there may be a slightly easier to access power for that.

I'm running led strips for footwell lighting so when I open the door or hit the unlock on my key fob I'd like them to light up.

Any recommendations other than the door harness?

For the footwells, do you have a light at the rear bottom of your center console? If so, that would be a good spot, just an idea of course!! I do in my truck but mine is an '02 denali so don't know if yours would be different!

I heard some have 194 bulbs there but I'm not one of them. I looked thinking the bulb may just be out but no luck...

You lost me, are you saying that you have the light I mentioned but the bulb is out or were you thinking that I was saying to use that light for your footwells? If you have that light, you could tap into that wire and use it for your footwells, would be easy for your situation!

Sorry for the confusion.

I have no lights under the dash to tap into.

I did this exact thing probably a year ago and it worked great using this as a guide. I used blue led strips to match my blue led bulbs everywhere else. I didn't even have to mount the passenger side, it's just wedged between the heater box and interior panel.

That's too bad that there's no light there, must be a denali thing, I wasn't sure! Other place you could pull power from is the map lights or dome lights in the roof but that might be kinda far! Sorry, wish I could have been more help!!
