Where to use RTV in engine build

Hey guys just wondering where all I use RTV in the longblock. About the only place I know for sure is at the top of the bulkhead where the intake sits on the block and around the front part of the oil pan.

Any help is appreciated.

Oil pan, timing cover and the head bolts. They ALL thread into either the intake port or the water passages. Those need to be sealed.

Get a service manual and it will tell you(as well as notes on in a gasket kit if applicable) exactly where it should and should not be used.

Where on the timing cover? The one that I have has a bead of sealant around the outer perimeter

Where the timing cover meets the pan and the pan meets the block in the front.
