Funny you should say that.
Here's the story..
I had these nice new u-joints laying around for months, just never had the time. So I decided on a Friday night before a major camping trip with my brother and nephews, that it would be a capital idea to finally get those factory joints out. After hours, HOURS, of wailing on it (using the socket and hammer technique), it wasn't budging. So my brother comes over with the correct tool, and boom, within 30 minutes had the new ones in except for the last cap...
In my fatigued state (yeah that's what I'm going with) I couldn't quite get enough clearance for the snap ring to seat correctly and I cranked the press the to the point that it pushed the, body I guess(?), of the u-joint into the top of the cap and alacazam! The results of my entire night of hard work are pictured above.
Threw my hands up and reached for the jb Weld, then went to bed feeling like less than a man. Worked great until probably mile 105 of my trip, going around 60mph, the teeth chattering vibration started. Didn't check it until I got home, because nothing I could do anyways, and you could probably have guessed that there wasn't one needle left inside.

You were never from Oregon, you were from Missouri or wherever and living in Oregon. You won’t be missed!
I'm from Portland, grew up in foster care and so I have lived in every corner of every neighborhood. I love this city to, but it deserves every bit of sh** it gets right now.
