First, those numbers are the same. Second, They are both to low. Run what is recommended by your service. Third, seeing as how the air travels through your condenser first then the radiator it should not make a difference in the air conditioning system..

Big debate on this...but doesnt really seem to be a debate to me. If you have a SC, you want a lower stat. If you don't, go with stock temp. Reason being is the engine needs to be run at a certain temperature for many many reasons..timing, burning condensation out of oil and others

I run a 180 fail safe and every summer I pop it and it sticks open on the first trip to Vegas or Havasu .. I'm in the desert though. I bet 180 will be ok, 160 will work int he summer but your truck may have some issues. I'll be running a 160 for various reasons this summer but only in the summer. :D

I've been running a 160 since the truck was bought new. It takes a while to heat up during the winter. The way I see it is that the cooler everything is during the summer the more efficient your engine will run. I still have stock intake gasket stock injectors etc with 130k.

I would recommend sticking with the stock 195 unless you have mods that warrant changing to a 180. Some people here in the desert swap to 180's, but 160 is far too low IMO.
