Which tuner to disable AFM?

I've had good luck with DiabloSport but can't get mine to go beyond the boot screen, it does not go into the configure mode. Just hangs.

It's an older i2, maybe get the newer DiabloSport inTune i3? I did a mid-octane canned tune on the Tahoe I used to have, now want to do the same thing to the 2013 Yukon with the 6.2L and the unneeded AFM.

Otherwise use HP tuners but it's more expensive and a real tuner. Not sure I want to tune it extensively.

The Diablosport Intune I3 has the ability to disable it.

Driving in M mode should disable AFM I believe

Yes it will as long as you stay in 5th gear, or 7th gear on the 8 speed. You may actually find that your fuel economy won't change too much if you are doing in town and regular roads. Interstate will be a little worse in a lower gear.

The Range AFM disable devices are about $230 new

These are one-purpose devices. The DiabloSport has the capability to modify performance. Make it run on mid-octane only for a considerable performance boost. Did that on a 5.3L and was impressed. Got mine i2 for $200 used on fleabay. Now it seems to be broken. I would need another license anyway

I'm aware. I have an Intune I3 with 2 licenses and use it on my 2012 Denali and my 2002 Mustang GT

You can, but then AFM is active again. 5th gear locks it out due to mapping
