2019 Yukon XL Denali - bought used
My drivers emergency door lock cylinder was not turning and I needed to program new FOBs.
I had a locksmith fix the issue, but he had trouble removing and then putting everything back together. Probably his first time with this model vehicle.
He fixed the broken cylinder and put the door back together, BUT now there is a delay between the drivers lock actuating and the other doors. and when I turn off the engine, and the doors auto unlock, I hear a short whining or squeaking sound coming from the dashboard. This sound happens just as the door lock are actuated immediately after the vehicle is shot off.
The door lock is tighter than previous and harder to move manually.
All remotes are working properly.
I suspect something binding in the door, but would that cause a noise behind the dash? Is the delay in the lock actuating tripping or stressing something behind the dash?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!!
