Who else has these bumps on their rear bumper?

I'm at the shop now. They said they'll take a look but one of the guys said in order to fix, they'll have to order a bumper cover but it will only be primed NOT factory painted and it will involve body work. He also said then I might have an issue with it matching the original paint etc. Not sure if that's a scare tactic or something but I would think they should be able to get a color matched bumper from the factory?

I have rented quite a few 15/16 models and not seen the bumps either. Not being able to color match the OEM paint is pure BS! Sure maybe the bumper comes primed ready to paint as it would be cost prohibitive to inventory all the colors for every part for every truck. No worries. But anything can be color matched. The newer the paint, the easier as it hasn't had time to be destroyed by UV, etc....

I have had my 06 Dark Ming Blue Metallic and my 13 WDT color matched perfectly as have many other trucks on here much older than yours. Tell that guy to get his head in the game, get you a bumper and paint it. If he can't match the color (too lazy) make them order paint from automotivetouchup.com or any top notch body shop can computer match what the code is and mix it up.

SMH....Good luck. Let us know how you go.

Wife just curbed on of the 22s" as well. I wet sanded it out last night. Now I need to find the right gun metal gray paint to match. Q: Anyone know the code or where you can order it?

Thanks

I work for a large OEM fascia manufacturer. I can tell you that looks like a mold defect in the attachment flange or sonic weld issue where if a bracket was welded to the fascia pre-factory install. Is your paint color summit white? If so color match is easier then a metallic white. The fascia are painted pre factory install, but it is hard to get a painted one vs primed.

This is BS. Demand they get you a new bumper if the heat gun doesn't work, this appears to be a defect. Don't let them flake out on you......good luck!
