This. First, you're looking at the most balls out model, of course its going to have everything. Second - 60/40 is not the preferred, second row buckets are. Third - If you dont want the 22's Im more than positive your dealer would be happy to keep them and swap with some 20's (of course at the 22 price). Fourth - Add an aftermarket trans cooler. It will be better than what GM has to offer anyway. And tow hooks are cheap - just bolt them on.

GM isn't around to cater to just you. They cater to millions and millions. I cant go to Samsung and ask for a green framed TV when all they make are black. I don't mean to be a dick but is what it is.

Let’s get something straight. I have custom ordered every truck I have bought from Chevy sans the first. Over the last 3 decades I’ve ordered over 20 of these trucks. I did not want Chevy to create a special option just for me. I want a premier with a few available options and the 6.2 engine. I did not say I wanted an rst my way. I just don’t like that I have to buy all the items in the enhanced premier to get the engine. The engine is available, it’s a production item and as long as I take a sunroof, I can have it. (I realize I can change wheels and tires). I did not ask for anything unique or made up for me. There are plenty of people that wanted the engine without the extras. And while I did not expect to see my speced out truck on any showroom lot. It saddens me that I can’t get the only important option that many people want.

That's why I went with a Yukon SLT. Wanted the second row Bench seat. Could not get it with a Premier or Denali. Got all the other options I wanted.
All I had to do was check the box as to which configured second-row seats I wanted. I went with the bench seat in my 17 Escalade.

What frustrates me is when people try to pin this on a GM issue. Every domestic and most Japanese do this. Euros may not, so if you want to go buy one of the most unreliable, highest maintenance vehicles just so you don’t have to get a sunroof, go ahead. It’s not JUST a GM issue. Hell, to me it’s not even an issue.
