Buy a Rolls or a Maybach. Then you will get fine quality. Unfortunately, the reality is that these trucks are still assembly line GM products. There isn't anything special except better equipment.
Our three Tahoes have been problem free. My Ford trucks have been great.

And these high end vehicles have gone up in price the past few years. My 2012 avalanche LTZ was under 50 MSRP. The Tahoe LT I have now I got for 55 discounted. I got very lucky with my financing because the dealership f-ed up with the tag situation (long story) and end up having to take a hit in order for me to get re-financed. Ended up getting a much lower APR. :D

I know this website seems to behave like "yukondenaliforum.com" instead of tahoeyukon forum, but my Tahoe LT is more than enough vehicle for me that i can (barely) afford. I can get most of the features of the LTZ with the LT now (with navigation and luxury package). Nothing in the Yukon Denali sans the bigger engine (the new 5.3 is improved enough to be just fine for me) is worth the upgrade.

You are smart to stop at the LT, and not overspending when you know you are at your limit. We've had three LTs.

I wrote a check for all of em and the 2 houses we have, thats not the point. Why is there no quality in anything ? They dont take any more care in building their high profit vehicles than the lowest priced model.
That answer is simple ... Mass production on an assembly line . My 20k Chevy Cruze is built no different than a 70k Denali. Not comparing the two vehicles of course just how they are produced. Like another just stated a rolls Royce is produced individually and passes thousands of quality checks before its deemed for sale . The price tags jump of course but as I've said for years you get what you pay for.

I wouldn't call these high end vehicles, but as a whole I've been satisfied with the various GM vehicles I've owned. If I wasn't I'd buy something else. Seems simple to me.

Exactly. And even when you look at this compared to your Maybach or Rolls - they are no more reliable than the 20k Cruze. In fact in most cases, less reliable. Yes they will have nicer materials and different features, and probably get you laid quicker than the Cruze, but for me, Im not trying to impress anyone but myself.

I bought a $75k vehicle because I wanted it - and am fortunate enough to be able to afford it.

It's that simple.
