why no Diesel Tahoe/Yukons?

Seems like that would have been 10x the seller as the Hybrid...and should have been cheaper to run, repair, good power,amazing torque ...etc and likely better fuel consumption(especially compared to the gas versions)... discuss...

Because the average American is stupid and thinks Diesels are bad. Gotta go with what your market is and what they want. Moms dont want one so they wont make it.

FORD is going to introduce a diesel into their 1/4 ton pickup next year. I would have figured Chevy to follow suit but since they are practically government owned and operated now, they will likely fail to compete

i wish they did make them with diesel engines, i loved my ford excursion, 7.3l diesel, 4x4 37x13.50x20 inch rockstars...and it still got 20mpg...oh it would be nice if they would make a diesel tahoe/yukon

Diesels were available in the OBS (2dr's at least)... it would be fun to have a NNBS Duramax 4d though... A company called DuraBurb does conversions, here's a vid:

I would LOVE to have a diesel. You can pull very serious torque out of a little diesel and get great gas mileage.
