09+ Escalade mirrors are in the works... Also in the process of snaking a deal on a set of Chrome power steps :secret:

I'm REALLY contemplating on taking this Escalade roof rack off and leaving it with the shaved look. I'm still going to reserve my final opinion for when the wheels get here and the newer LTZ moldings go on.

Wakinvol -- What are you trying to sell? Look at the main page in this section, and you've given a one-word reply to just about every topic. C'mon, man -- you'll get there. Why not ADD something in the meantime?

Robbie -- How long have you had your Sub? And does it sit outside? I ask because I'm interested in hearing what you find in terms of paint fade/"ghosting" underneath the moldings. Can you check that out for me? I have a set of Esky chrome door trim that I'd love to put on, but I'm concerned about what I'll find under the stock molding. I have a black truck, too...

Thanks!

I'm sure a good wax/clay bar session yourself could get any sort of ghosting/fading on the paint out.

Yea def leave it until the door side mouldings... I think that's what it's missing to tie it all together.

Man, where are you scoring these deals on Escalade parts?? I've paid through the nose for most of my Escalade add ons. I'm not too hooked on the mirrors VS stock LTZ mirrors (mine have blind spot detection too), BUT, I've considered either the power steps (only option I don't have), or at least the regular boards that have the chrome strip,,,,,,,,,until I saw the cost.

I got lucky and got to tear into a wrecked escalade. :)

It was fun learning how that thing is put together. Learned a lot about the differences between escalades and suburbans. Makes me want one!!

Yep. 6.2, 6L80, and the entire AWD setup. If I had the time and money, I would have bought it all and put it into my SS Clone project.

(please don't PM asking for parts, the truck is gone and at the scrap yard)

Yea it'd be nice to be able to implement the OEM power steps with the chrome strip into a car that doesn't have it... guess the regular running boards with the chrome trim will have to do... unfortunately both cost a shit load :(

I'll get pics for you when I get home...

I have alot of detailing supplies, I must have spent close to $200 on waxes and polishes alone. I just HATE doing it all by hand. And, if I drop the cash on a machine, it'd just make sense to hire someone. We'll see...
