They have a cover for them too, but its only for the single mount resistor brackets. I have two resistors mounted to the bracket, so the cover won't work.

all the resistors and LEDs came in today. Woohoo!

Only thing I am waiting on is the 3rd brake light which will be here tomorrow.

Probably will start the project this weekend with FULL write-up and pics. :D

lol...no pics. Mosquitoes everywhere tonite!

I tell ya what, doing these new backup lamps make me want to do the front DRL's and headlamps now. We don't want it retarded bright, just pure white as opposed to the filament yellow color.

Wonder if they make a pure white LED that has a subtle glow to it? Also wondering if it would be better to do the DRL in white and the amber DRL in amber (not the two-tone like sumo has)?

on another note.....

Stupid question, but do the 6ohm 50 watt resistors get SO hot that mounting them on these aluminum plates would cause the plates to get hot and melt plastic? Just thinking of mounting options for these things. Might mount the resistors and the mounting plates behind the appliques above the tails. That way they are completely out of the way and then just feed the resistor wires down to the tail lamps and splice them in. Decision...

Escalade 3rd Brake light is on. Took literally less than 10 minutes. Wife loves it. :)
