i thought the wheels are an inch difference? You would need a staggered tire configuration to offset the staggered wheels.

They are an inch wider in back than in front. Serge misunderstood.

Serge, going from a 285 to a 305 on the same size wheel is going to look very awkward and serve no real purpose. The only reason I am doing staggered is because our wheels are staggered and it will keep the sidewall profile consistent.

But the sidewall profile (size) won't be consistent between a 305/35 and a 295/35 no matter what width wheel you have.

Are you talking bulge? (again) :)

Btw is your burb 2 or 4 wheel drive?

Damn.. how did i forget about this thread yeterday and Tuesday.. Anyway. You waited all that time for just those rims??? NO NO NO really jk they look really good. Those Wilwood brakes are going to look great behind them plus the shine of the red on the chrome will look sick. Can't wait to see pic's on the car with the brakes. Also my opinion go with the 420's. I love them.

Check again sir. If a tire has a narrower width, it will stretch over a wide wheel, therefore sidewall is shorter. ;)

And it's 2WD, sir.

I'm thinking 420 too... I'll know more today once I land. :D

I think I'm missing something ... wheel width doesn't factor into sidewall height:

I'm thinking the only reason you can do staggered tires and I cannot is because of 4wd and my rear tires would bulge out a tiny bit more.

But you're still going to have the issue of having different revolution cycles from front to back ... which isn't an issue for 2wd trucks. :waytogo:

Serge, when you stretch a 295, for example, onto a 12" wide wheel, the sidewall is going to be smaller than on a 9" wheel. The sidewall will angle in and therefore it's a smaller side profile. A tire height calculator isn't going to show you this.

I have run staggered before in every ride I owned. I prefer it. I have no interest in rotating tires front to back as I don't care about buying new ones every year. Part of the custom game I guess.

No I understand ... I think it makes sense for you, and like you said you know what you're doing.
I'm just trying to learn and I just wish there was a visual tire size calculator so I could figure out what the difference in sidewall angle/bulge would be between a 305/40/22 and a 295/40/22 on 9" wide rims.

Wait until tomorrow Serge and it will make more sense but Robbie is correct and it will look very odd running the same size tires on a different size wheel especially running an inch difference in wheel widths.
