I just want to clarify if my new 285/70R17 tires will fit fine on my 2004. I was told by a couple shops that they'll fit with stock height. I do have a 2" suspension lift anyway. The first shop refused to put them on and I'm sitting in the second one now stressing out about these damn tires. Will I get any rub even when the suspension is moving? I've heard you have to clip the end of the plastic piece on the bottom of the front bumper but I'm fine with that.

Thanks for the help guys..

What 2" lift do you have?

At worst youll rubb a little and you can trim it.

Thanks for sharing the chart! Its a Rough Country kit with 2" spacers and 3" keys but they're only cranked up about 2".

Well they fit fine and so far it appears that the guys in the first shop didn't have a clue. They were positive it couldn't be done. And the second shop was positive it COULD be done.

This thread will be good reference for anyone stressing about the same thing.

I can attest that 285 70 17s will fit with the keys cranked 2".

Well it wasn't really a tire shop, it was ******* Walmart. I know, I know but they were really cheap and I thought they could handle it. But I was under the impression that their shops are supposed to be a separate chain company. I don't know if that's right.

Do any of you guys have pics of the 275 and 285s already on ? I'm sure I could research but I honestly rather just ask cause I know yall have experienced it first had . I'm thinking of lifting my hoe and running a 275 or 285 on my sock 17s . Just wanna kinda see what it looks like before I bite the bullet .
