Will a stock 2007 xl fit 285/75r16s

I am looking for an upgrade in wheels and found some that are coming off a 2003 suburban that are 285/75r16, will those fit well on my stock 2007 XL? I currently have 275/55/r20s on here and am looking to increase side wall for the bumpy forest service roads and comfort.

I believe someone just tried 16's on an 07+ 1500 suv and it was a no go.
Im guessing 17's maybe the smallest option.
