I have what I think is a 99 4l60e. I want to put it in my 97 Tahoe. I am wondering if I will have any problems put this transmission in my Tahoe.

The numbers on what I think is a 99 transmission are
24206579 bell
24207965 case
9LU D7

When Using the website
https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledg...utomatic/4l60e my bell housing is the "1998 Bellhousing with added holes for the bottom cover"

When Using the website
http://mmerlinn.com/catalog/lilscrib...6/gm9l6010.htm it looks like his a 1999 tranny.

It should be compatible. Some 97's had the one piece transmission left over from 93-97. However, starting from 96, Chevy offered a two piece which allowed you to remove the bell housing.

From what I can tell, I don't see any issues with compatibility. However, here is a link to a very good video which will make you a 4L60E expert to the sorts.

Worth watching if your making a purchase. It's 20 minutes but it covers the 21 + year life and evolution of the 4L60!

The video has some great information. When I get home tonight I will check some numbers that I did not know about to find out the year. Thanks again.

I have heard that the 98 4L60 may not be compatible PCM wise. I would double check before you buy it. Any solid transmission shop should know.
