I'm planning on building my own winch bumper for my 2011 Tahoe. My question is what is everyone doing about the grille? Cutting it off the factory bumper? If so, how are yall supporting it. Or can we swap it for the grille off of the silverado?

I've searched around quite a bit on here woth no luck. So forgive me if this has been discussed and I missed it.

Thanks

I've thought about a winch bumper too. For the grill, i don't see why you can't trim it away from the bumper. Attaching the lower side might be the only concern.

Border Patrol chop. There’s pictures in my thread in the under construction area.

I‘m going to do a hidden winch behind the facia between the frame rails myself.

Mine is currently loos at the bottom. I have clamped some stops behind the lower portion to keep it pushed forward, but I'm thinking some Trim-lok w/ an adhesive backing that can stick on top of the bumper and let the grill slip down in it so I don't have to put holes in anything. 2007-2014 GMC Yukon Chassis Unlimted Octane Front Winch Bumper 4.JPG

These bumpers are finally in production and available at baselineoverland.com

Bumper has two holes on the top to line up with the factory tabs behind the grill to support it. Hoping to get some better pictures soon. There is a minor difference in the Yukon, but now they are basically the exact same bumper for the Chevy and GMC. Bill: Did you complete a hidden winch?
