If your wipers seem to be getting slower, or even come to a stop, it may not be the wiper motor. I did all the testing of the wiring and switch, and thought for sure I needed a new motor. But when I finally got the motor out(you have to remove the whole linkage to remove it), I found the linkage had seized and would barely budge when trying to move it with channel locks. I’m surprised the motor didn’t burn out! The transmission is about a $120 part, depending on where you get it. The Dorman unit is put together with shaft clips so you can take it apart and lube it unlike the OEM. Just a bit of FYI.
