Winter time squeaks..

ok so its starting to get a little colder outside and when my motor is still cold including the pulleys they squeak for a little while before the motor warms up, what are yall using to spray on your pulleys for this type of nonsense..
regular old WD40????

Try some "chain lube" (made for motorcycle / 4-wheeler chains). That stuff quiets old rusted chains very well. I would just make sure that you didn't get it on the belt itself

yal dont think its the pulleys at all? i had the same problem on my old tahoe and i changed damn near everything..the belt, alternator pulley, water pump pulley, all kind of crap so ended up just saying f-it! but i hope it might just be the belt on this truck or maybe ill try some belt dressing??

i change my belt every year before winter and i never hear it squeak, i use the goodyear gatorbacks

yea im from the south too but when it does get cold my engine is like WTF??

if it is belt squeal change the belt.

otherwise it could be the idler pulley/ tensioner on its way out.

Shit, winter here in Houston is like 60 degrees...

But my belt does squeak sometimes on cold starts. I should change it out this weekend.
