Winter wheel / tire setup

I have a 2022 yukon xl factory 20s with no big break kit. I'm located in NS Canada so we get lots of snow.
I just ordered a set of 17" black steel wheels from Costco. I am having a problem finding a size tire that is +/- 3% comparable to the stock 275/60R20.
The spare is 265/70R17 which is +/-4.2% which means speedometer reads 110km/h when really only going 105km/h.
My plan is to get a set of Michelin X-ICE 265/70R17 for a winter set.

Would all agree that would be the best option?

other option is a set of BFG KO2's but I feel the XICE is the best ?

I think XICE or Blizzak's are the best, from running them on my other vehicles.
Main thing is ensure the load ratings are sufficient for this heavy beast...

KO2’s don’t even compare to real winter tires. In fact I don’t think they compared to my Duratracs either. Best snow car Ive had was aMercedes 4matic with Vredstein Wintrac Pros. Unreal in snow. Way better than my Rubiconwith Duratracs.

I ended up ordering a set of 20" black steel wheels from costco and pairing them with stock size Michelin X-Ice tires 275/60R20. Dealer has back order for tire sensors so found some on fb marketplace off a silverado I will pair after the install.

The real question is: for those who wheel swap winter/summer setups, do you need to do anything special or just literally swap and go?

You need another set of TPMS sensors...it is basically swap and go, assuming you follow the TPMS Sensor Matching Process -- Auto Learn Function from the Owner's Manual. I have never actually done this, as my tire shop always handles for me when I swap them.

Also attached a pic of the 20's from a Sierra I picked up from a guy last year about this time, they had 200 miles on them...got them for $800 for the set.

Hi, I'm from Russia, we change tires every six months. in October we put on winter tires, in April we put on summer tires. You don't need to do anything, just remove the tire from the rim and slide it onto the rim. and balance the wheel assembly. It seems like the T1 generation itself prescribes tire pressure sensors, but to calm things down, I force the technician to mark the rims, keeping their location on the car.

We don’t like the Blizaak Bridge)))) I tried terrible oak tires for winter, they hum at minus temperatures and slide)))) for warm climates this is probably the best)
I've had great luck w/ Blizzaks here in Minnesota...They do have a bit more road noise than the stock Alenza's, but hardly notice it. Winter temps here range from -20F (-28C) to about 30F (-1C), with most of January never seeing above 20F (-7C). Traction and Performance much improved over all seasons. They will be going on in about a month, and coming off about April 1.

Yes, I looked up the Minnesota climate. Very similar to ours))) But I prefer studded tires. Powerful, toothy, because there is often a transition through 0 temperatures, and there is ice on the roads)
