There is a slot in the center console for the key fob, I believe it is for when the fob battery gets to low to operate and other misc functions
I thought I read something different for tahoe's if you have bench vs bucket seating. I don't remember reading anything about a slot to insert the key. What I recall reading said that you place the fob by the sensor.

Edit- It is w/ bench seat and w/o bench seat. With bench seat it is under the center storage compartment, I guess that's what you meant by center console, my mistake on that, I was picturing something else, but I am wrong.

Without bench seat it appears to be in the left hand side cup holder.

I guess I can pull the fuse for the wireless charging, if I want to go that route. Would be nice to have an on/off button to enable/disable charging, but I guess that's just one more item to deal with.

you could add a toggle switch if you really wanted to. you could unscrew the lid and wire it in on the bottom side, that way you would not have to remove the fuse and interrupt anything else. it would only need to be a on/off switch interrupting either power or ground whichever is easiest.

I'd rather leave it as is or pull the fuse.
